Prisoner was an Australian television soap opera (which aired under the title Prisoner: Cell Block H in the UK and the United States, and as Caged Women in Canada). It was set in Wentworth Detention Centre, a fictional women's prison. Because of its success in the United Kingdom, the series has become one of the most enduring in Australian television history.
Prisoner was an album by Cher, released in 1979 and one of two records Cher recorded for Casablanca Records (the other being Take Me Home). This was Cher's second album of 1979, 'Take Me Home' was released earlier that year. This album, unlike 'Take Me Home' was least successful than the latter, but still sold over 1 million copies in the U.S.A. alone.
