Definitions for "Polysulfone"
An amorphous structure; this engineering thermoplastic has inherent resistance to heat, hydrolysis, oxidation, and radiation; self-extinguishing.
A synthetic thermoplastic polymer. Used in the manufacture of ultrafiltration membranes and in thin-film composite and charged polysulfone reverse osmosis membranes.
Commonly used membrane material that has good flow rates, high mechanical strength, resistance to a broad range of temperatures (can be sterilized), and is hydrophilic. Is not resistant to exposure to many organic solvents.
