Peter Marshall (born Ralph Pierre LaCock on March 30, c 1927, in Huntington, West Virginia, is an actor, singer and television personality. Although he has almost fifty television, movie, and Broadway credits, he is best known as the original host and "The Master" of The Hollywood Squares from 1966 to 1981. His stage name, Marshall, came from the name of the college in his home town (Marshall College became Marshall University in 1961).

Peter Marshall (born on 11 September 1938 in Derry) is an Irish broadcaster, educated at St Columb's College in Derry. Having originally intended to train as a teacher, he started his working life as an actor, studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. In 1967 he became an announcer at Ulster Television and in 1970 he moved to Anglia Television.

Reverend Dr. Peter Marshall (1902-January 26, 1949) twice served as Chaplain of the United States Senate.
