Definitions for "Pagelet"
Each block of content on the home page is called a pagelet. These pagelets display summary information within a small rectangular area on the page. The pagelet provide users with a snapshot of their most relevant PeopleSoft and non-PeopleSoft content.
A bordered section on a page (tab). It consists of a pagelet title, pagelet controls, and a content area. PeopleSoft uses pagelets to present different kinds of information in a consistent manner. Some pagelets are required to appear on your portal pages (for example, your myUFL menu). Others are optional and you may include or exclude them from your portal pages. Use the "Personalize Content" link to include or exclude pagelets. There are different types of pagelets. They include menus such as the myUFL menu; publications such as "New User Help," and service pagelets such as the Weather Magnet.
