A bounded area designated by the tournament director (prior to the start of play) beyond which a footbag may not be played. The boundary is defined by a vertical plane above a clearly marked line on the ground.
When a ball goes over the sideboards, it is considered out-of- bounds. The umpire throws the ball in between the two teams lined up at the point at which it left the field of play. It is equivalent to a throw-in in soccer.
An area designated by the director prior to the start of play from which a disc may not be played. The out-of-bounds line extends a plane vertically upward and downward. The out-of-bounds line is itself in-bounds.
