Project initiated by IBM and Sun to define a software architecture (service components and API) capable of providing different smart card reader and smart card interoperability. The project attracted several smart card companies (Gemplus, Bull, Schlumberger, SCM Microsystems) and card issuers such as Visa International, and mostly covers Java environments.
OPERATING CASH FLOW. Cash flow from Operations: A pure cash flow computation from selected line items of the cash statement which reflect standard recurring business operations, such as: collections minus payments, etc. This computation measures the amount of cash internally generated which then becomes available for periodic management strategies such as gross fixed asset investment, debt payback, dividends, etc. It is an important measurement, because it can determine the capacity of a business to pursue anticipated strategies.
