a vague idea in which some confidence is placed; "his impression of her was favorable"; "what are your feelings about the crisis?"; "it strengthened my belief in his sincerity"; "I had a feeling that she was lying"
an odd or fanciful or capricious idea; "the theatrical notion of disguise is associated with disaster in his stories"; "he had a whimsy about flying to the moon"; "whimsy can be humorous to someone with time to enjoy it"
A vague feeling for an emotion, image, pattern, musical harmony, action, or verbal expression that is there on the edge of a human's awareness without their being able to identify or see it clearly. Despite the vagueness of that feeling, humans are still capable of being influenced by notions, and even working with them, usually in some sort of mutuality. (For example, when a human claims to have a word on the tip of their tongue, they are experiencing one sort of notion.) Back to Contents of Awareness Page.
