An alloy that doesn't have iron as the predominant metal.
Any metal or alloy that does not contain iron as the main constituent. There are two categories of non-ferrous metals: Common metals - (mainly aluminum, copper, lead, nickel and zinc) and Precious metals - (gold, palladium, platinum and silver.)
Those metals that contain very little or no iron, e.g. Copper, brass and bronze.
