Neuromancer is a computer adventure game created by Interplay Productions in 1988 and distributed by (a brand name that Activision was also known by). It was designed by Bruce Balfour, Michael Stackpole, Brian Fargo, and Troy A. Miles who was also responsible for the programming.
Neuromancer by William Gibson is the most famous early cyberpunk novel and won the so-called science-fiction "triple crown" (the Nebula Award, the Philip K. Dick Award, and the Hugo Award) after being published in 1984. It was Gibson's first novel and the start of The Sprawl trilogy.
