Per NRS 213.1215 and in response to prison crowding, offenders with sentences of at least 3 years must be reviewed for parole under close supervision months prior to the end of their maximum term, if they have not been previously released on parole for that sentence, and if they are not otherwise ineligible for parole. MPR releases violating parole may at the discretion of the Parole Board lose all statutory (stat) time credits upon their return to NDOC custody.
