Misty (also sometimes known as Mist-ery) is a fictional cartoon character from the cartoon My Life as a Teenage Robot. She is voiced by Audrey Wasilewski.
"Misty" is a jazz standard written in 1954 by the pianist Erroll Garner. Originally composed as an instrumental following the traditional 32 bar format, the tune later had lyrics added by Johnny Burke and has been covered numerous times, perhaps most notably by Johnny Mathis (1959), and also by Ray Stevens (1975) as a country song. It was also used as a theme song for NBC's Today Show for most of the 1960s.
Misty is the name of a classified project to operate stealthy satellites conducted by the National Reconnaissance Office. The first satellite launched for the program was deployed on March 1, 1990 by the Space Shuttle ''Atlantis as part of Mission STS-36. Objects associated with the satellite decayed on March 31, 1990, but the satellite itself was seen and tracked later that year and in the mid-1990s by amateur observers.
