Definitions for "Minority business enterprise"
A small business enterprise that is at least 51 percent owned by one or more minorities or, in the case of a publicly owned business, at least 51 percent of all classes or types of the stock is owned by one or more minorities and whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more minorities.
A business which is 51% owned and operated by a person or people in one or more of the following minority groups: African American (black), Hispanic American (Mexican, Caribbean Islander, Central or South American, other Portuguese or Spanish origin), Asian American (including Pacific Islander), or American Indian (including Alaskan Native) and Socially and Economically Disadvantaged. Woman Business Enterprise Female or a disabled person is not a minority, unless the female or disabled person is also a member of one of the aforementioned minority groups.
