Modular Ink Delivery System. A next-generation ink, cartridge, and print head design from HP that separates the ink supply from the print heads. This improves the speed and quality of the output and prolongs the life of the print heads. MIDS also has a sensor on each print head that alerts the user when the ink or print head needs changing.
