Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys. Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) are used by UNICEF to help countries monitor progress towards internationally-agreed goals. As the deadline for the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals ( MDGs) draws closer, MICS will facilitate the collection and analysis of information on some 20 of the 48 indicators, offering the largest single source of data for monitoring MDGs. MICS are typically carried out by government organisations, with support and technical assistance from UNICEF and other partners. The surveys help countries fill data gaps in monitoring human development in general, and the situation of children and women in particular. Türkçe
