A situation where one automated mail triggers another which again triggers the first mail to reply etc. thus creating a mail loop.
A communication error between two email servers, usually happening when a misconfigured email triggers an automated response from the recipient server.
A mail loop is an automatic and ongoing repetition of emails between two mail servers, which may result in you or a mailing list receiving the same message repeatedly. They are usually caused by poorly configured mail systems, but should always be reported to the Mailtalk Helpline.
