Definitions for "LSCA"
Enacted in 1956 and administered by the federal Department of Education, LSCA grant funds assisted the states in the extension and improvement of public library services, provided funds for library construction, strengthened state library administrative agencies and promoted interlibrary cooperation among all types of libraries. LSCA expired in 1996.
