A panty with a rise of 9-inches or less. The rise is the measurement between the waistband and the first horizontal seam. We categorize low rise into three categories. Moderately Low – 7-8 inches Really Low – 5 to 6.5 inches
The rise refers to where a jean hits a person on the stomach. The trend in rises is to go lower and lower. In juniors, our average rise is 9" from the crotch to the top of the waist band. We do have jeans that go even lower, such as our "So-Lo" fit.
Waistband is located typically 3-4 inches below the belly button. The most popular rise in most denim brands, especially for women.
