Term used in television to designate movies and miniseries.
any TV commercial longer than 2 minutes. This was the accepted term for an infomercial from 1984 until "infomercial" came into vogue in 1988.
A 30-minute infomercial. One of the two basic formats for direct response TV advertising.
The long form collects data in addition to the basic population statistics covered by the short form. The long form proposed for 2000 will contain 34 subjects ranging from ancestry to transportation to housing to employment and schooling to veteran's status to income and more. The long form is the only source of reliable community level data on economic change, education, unemployment and income levels, and transportation needs. In rural areas, one household in two will receive the long form but in densely settled areas only one in eight will be asked these questions.
