It is not to be confused with the now-defunct , which merged with the Democratic Party of Japan, the main opposition party, in November 2003.
The Liberal Democratic Party (Portuguese: Partido Liberal Democrático) is a liberal party in Angola, and is a member of Liberal International. At the last elections, in 1992, the PLD won 2.4% of the vote, gaining three seats in parliament. The party's founder and leader is Anália de Victória Pereira.
