James Moore (born June 10, 1976 in New Westminster, British Columbia) is the Canadian Member of Parliament for Port Moody—Westwood—Port Coquitlam. He is a member of the Conservative Party of Canada. Moore is the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Works and Government Services and the Minister for the Pacific Gateway and the Vancouver-Whistler Olympics.
James Moore (born 1850) was the first champion cyclist. He was born in England, but moved to France by the time he was 18. On 31 May 1868 the first cycling race is said to have taken place in Saint-Cloud - a 1.2 kilometre race from the towns fountains to the park, he won it.
Colonel James Moore was the British colonial governor of South Carolina between 1700 and 1703. During this period, he led a number of attacks from the Carolinas into Spanish Florida. He replied on allied Indian tribes, especially the Yamasee for most of his military force.
