Definitions for "HUD-1 Uniform Settlement Statement"
A document prepared by a closing agent describing a real estate transaction including escrow deposits for taxes, commissions, loan feeds, points, hazard insurance and mortgage insurance, same as a closing statement. A published interest rate, such as the prime rate, UBOR or T-Bill rate. Lenders use indexes to establish interest rates charged on mortgages. On ARM's, a predetermined margin is added to the index to compute the interest rate adjustment.
Standard form used to disclose costs at closing. All charges imposed in the transaction, including mortgage broker fees, must be disclosed separately.
A closing statement or settlement statement provided by the escrow company that outlines all costs associated with a loan transaction.
