igh ltitude igh pening. Jumping out of an airplane above 24,000 feet and immediately popping your parachute so you can glide into your target. Used as a ‘stand off’ tactic, which means that the jumpers can exit the aircraft outside of another country’s airspace, and still manage to get on the ground inside the border.

High Altitude High Opening method of insertion in which an operator exits the aircraft at 10,000 meters and immediately opens his parachute. This allows him to glide up to 40 kms under ideal conditions to an LZ, allowing the aircraft to follow commercial aircraft routes or avoid dangerous airspace.
