Definitions for "Grabber"
This is the expansion card that will take the signal passed to it from an external video source and convert it into digital video. If you use a digital camera produced for DVC, you often will not need a video grabber card.
interface: The little hand icon with which you can move your document around in its window. First seen in the original MacPaint, the grabber has become a standard tool in most Mac graphics programs.
n. 1. A device for capturing graphical image data from a video camera or another full-motion video source and putting it into memory. Also called frame grabber, video digitizer. 2. Any device for capturing data. 3. Software that takes a "snapshot" of the currently displayed screen image by transferring a portion of video memory to a file on disk. 4.
