Garo (ガロ) was a monthly manga anthology magazine in Japan, founded in 1964 by Katsuichi Nagai. It specialized in alternative, underground, and avant-garde manga.

Japanese tokusatsu television series. It was broadcast on TV Tokyo from October 7. 2005 to March 31, 2006, lasting 25 episodes (with one additional "Overview" special, summarizing the events of episodes 1 through 13, aired before episode 14) . Produced by Bandai, the series is considered by some to be a turning point in tokusatsu entertainment, as it was marketed towards adults and older teenagers, as opposed to younger children.

GARO, consisting of Mark Horiuchi (b.1949), Tommy Hidaka (1950-1986) and Masumi "Vocal" Ohno (b. 1949), were Japanese Columbia recording artists who had chart hits in the early 1970s including the number 1 and a million seller "Gakuseigai-no-Kissaten" (1973) and their subsequent singles also reached the top of the chart. Garo was the first Japanese acoustic rock band to enter the Japanese chart. Their harmony vocals and acoustic guitar playing which were heavily influenced by the style of Crosby Stills Nash and Young became a phenomenon in Japan 1973/74.

The Garos are a tribe in Meghalaya, India, and Mymensingh, Bangladesh, who call themselves Achik. They are the second-largest tribe in Meghalaya after the Khasi and comprise about a third of the local population. The majority of Garos are Christian.
