(1) A group of addition or multiplication facts together with the related subtraction or division facts. Example: 5 + 6 = 11, 6 + 5 = 11, 11 – 5 = 6, and 11 – 6 = 5 form a fact family; 5 x 7 = 35, 7 x 5 = 35, = 5, and = 7 form a fact family. fact triangle (1) Triangular card labeled with the numbers of a fact family for practice with addition/subtraction and multiplication/ division facts.
