A machine which produces Polyethylene film. Granules are melted and drawn out in a tube bubble to cool. The quicker the film is drawn out, the thinner the film, and the bigger the bubble, the wider the film. The tube is often then slit and wound ready for printing.
a device that pumps a plastic through a desired die or shape
a machine with something like a giant screw which forces grain products through a process of continuous cooking
a melting and pumping machine
Device used to melt-mix plastics and powder coatings.
A machine for forcing material through a confined opening or die to produce a desired shape in any length.
a machine for forcing compound to flow through a forming die so as to produce a cross-sectional shape continuously; typically using a rotating screw in a heated barrel to soften and drive the compound forward, although ram extruders also exist
A machine that makes stretch film. It consists of a large steel barrel surrounded by heaters, which melt the plastic resin pellets. Inside of the barrel is a large screw to force the liquid plastic under pressure through a die to be made into plastic sheeting by either the cast or blown processes.
Equipment widely used in the plastics industry for manufacturing plastic items adapted by powder coatings manufacturers for dispersing pigments and resin. The pigment and resin mixture is forced down a tube by one, or often two, Archimedes screws, which melt and thoroughly mix together the powder as it passes along the barrel.
A machine for cooking different formulas of meal and forming them into different shapes.
