Definitions for "Encyclopedic"
Defined by Murray one of four essential properties of digital environments. This criterion suggests both sheer storage capacity and a network that interconnects that storage in a way that "seems to be accessible, retrievable, immediate" (Murray Hamlet 84). Interconnected and inexpensive mass storage gives the potential for minute detail and many different perspectives from a variety of sources (85).
Pertaining to, or of the nature of, an encyclopedia; broad in scope or content; embracing a wide range of subjects; as, a person having encyclopedic knowledge of a subject.
