Definitions for "Discovery learning"
A teaching strategy in which the material to be learned is discovered by the learner. The task given is a problem to be solved.
Students learn by doing and experiencing, rather than relying only on the instructor.
Learning without a teacher; usually in a controlled (i.e. pre-designed) set-up, and under supervision.
