Denial-of-Service - Angriffsversuch auf einen Computer, Server oder Netzwerk; der Angriff ist entweder beabsichtigt oder wird durch fehlerhaften Code eines Programms verursacht, das entweder direkt auf dem Host oder in einem anderen Firmennetzwerk bzw. einem mit dem Internet verbundenen Netzwerk gestartet wurde. Damit wird beabsichtigt, das Angriffsziel auszuschalten oder herunterzufahren.
