Definitions for "Compressed Work Week"
Work schedule arrangement where employee works longer hours on fewer days of the week. A typical example is a forty-hour per week employee who works a regular schedule of four (4) ten -hour days per week.
A work week in which the hours worked in each day are longer in order to reduce the number of days in the work week.
An arrangement where an employee works the standard number of hours in a one or two week period, but compresses those hours into fewer work days (thus working longer hours on the days the employee is at work).
