Color Management System. A combination of software and or hardware devices used to produce accurate color results throughout a digital-imaging system.
Content management System. A Content Management System (CMS) allows the end user to update content on their website with minimal technical skills or expensive know how. Sliced currently produce a web content management system which is browser-based. This means that the website administrator(s) can update the content on their website through any compatible website browser.
A (web) content management system allows a number of people to update content using a simple browser-based interface (instead of manually authoring web pages). Content management systems generally consist of a number of templates corresponding to standard 'types' of information, e.g. event promotion, staff profiles, press releases and product listings.
Call Management Server. In a PacketCable(tm) 1.0-based system, this is the entity that maintains call state and implements features, such as Custom Local Area Signaling Service (CLASS) features. The CMS controls both the in-home media gateways and the media gateways connecting to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). The CMS also performs admission control and routing functions.
CMS is an acronym for Conversational Monitor System. It is an operating system found on IBM mainframe computers, once you log on or access the CMS system you type in type in CMS commands. The CMS system at UNM is named UNMVMA.
