A condition not normal for beer except in bottled beer where yeast is added at bottling. This brewing practice adds additional fermentation and depth of character.
Lack of clarity to the eye. Fine for old wines with sediment, but it can be a warning signal of protein instability, yeast spoilage or re-fermentation in the bottle in younger wines.
This is not a good sign in a wine, as it may indicate protein or pectin haze, or it could be the wine has started to re-ferment.
