Here in Australia we use dollars and cents. In some forms of currency, cents are the small components part of a large denomination. In general, cents are used alongside dollars, with dollars being the major value in that currency, and cents forming a part thereof. e.g.: One dollar ($) = 100 cents. Although other countries like the United States of America use cents, we cannot use their cent coins and they cannot use ours, without first going through currency exchange.
