Definitions for "cased"
A thick layer (or layers) of glass on the outside of piece, created by blowing a cup of the colored glass and keeping it hot, then blowing inside the cup with another color or clear. Several cups may be picked up for several colors. Also the cup may be annealled and worked, then reheated and picked up. See also flashing and graal. GANTAD
