Cardfile is a simple flatfile UNIX database with a curses interface, that emulates a library's card catalog. It's useful for cataloging your library, downloaded software, or your Pokemon collection.

The Cardfile accessory program distributed with Microsoft Windows 3.1. This program is not distributed with later versions of Windows. Personal Knowbase can import files from Cardfile format.

Cardfile was a personal information manager distributed with Microsoft Windows starting from the original version 1.01 until Windows NT 4.0 Server. Cardfile also appeared in Windows 98 and Windows Millennium Edition, but had to be installed manually from the installation CD-ROM. Beginning with Windows 3.1, Cardfile supported Object Linking and Embedding.
