Definitions for "Caps Lock"
The Caps Lock key on a computer keyboard changes the typing input to uppercase when pressed.
A key that you can lock into place so that subsequent letters you type will come out capitalized. Caps Lock doesn't affect nonalphabet keys.
When the Caps Lock key is on, pressing any alphabetic key will result in an upper case (capital) letter. The number and symbol keys are not affected, however. Watch out - this is different from typewriters.
