A typographical way of combining words whereby the first letter of each word except the first is capitalized. Commonly used among Java, Javascript and Visual Basic programmers, this practice contrasts with the tradition in the C language of either running words together or marking breaks with underscores; thus, where a C programmer would write “thisverylongname†or “this_very_long_nameâ€, the camelCased version would be “thisVeryLongNameâ€.
