A life and/or health insurance company employee who manages one of the company's branch offices. The branch manager is in charge of all activities of the branch office and is responsible for hiring and training agents. Identical to a life and/or health insurance general agent, except that the branch manager is an employee of the insurer and usually salaried, rather than an independent contractor on commission.
