A traditional Cape dish made from minced meat & spices, covered with a savory egg custard and baked in the oven.
A Cape Malay dish which can be made using beef, lamb, white fish or vegetables. It is a baked dish consisting of bread, raisins, bayleaves, onions, sometimes nuts and masala as the main seasoning. It has an egg and milk topping which puffs up nicely once the baking is complete. It is normally served with a chutney or Blatjang.
