BIOgraphy IDentification number. This is the unique identifying number or record key of a given individual in the BIOGRAPHY table, assigned sequentially at the time the record is entered. The bioid is unique only within a given bibliography. Thus Iñigo López de Mendoza, Marqués de Santillana, corresponds to bioid 1031 in BETA, to bioid 1543 in BITAGAP, and to bioid 1454 in BITECA. The CNUM is unique only within a given bibliography.
