The narrow-brimmed hat worn by the British Yeomen of the Guards and Warders of the Tower of London since the 16c. Hat consists of a flat-topped, medium-high crown gathered into a headband.

An African bird of the genus Buphaga, which feeds on the larvæ of botflies hatched under the skin of oxen, antelopes, etc. Two species are known.

Beefeater were a D.C. punk rock band formed in Autumn 1984 by Tomas Squip, Fred Smith, Dug E. Bird, and Bruce Taylor. Drummers Mark Shellhaas and Kenny Craun replaced Taylor on later albums.
