Acquisition by a firm of its suppliers.
A type of vertical marketing in which a wholesaler or retailer purchases companies before them in the channel of distribution, such as manufacturers.
The process of buying or owning elements of the production cycle and channel of distribution back toward raw material suppliers. See: vertical integration.
