A double star in the Pleiades (21 k and 22 l Pleiadum, of the 5.8 and 6.4 magnitude respectively), appearing as a single star of the 5.3 magnitude to the naked eye.
The name Asterope or Sterope is shared by two stars, 21 Tauri and 22 Tauri, in the constellation Taurus. They are separated by 0.04° on the sky and are both members of the Pleiades open cluster and approximately 440 light years from Earth.
