a separate location where business facilities can be accessed by the organisation as a backup whenever the primary site is unreachable
A location, other than the normal facility, used to process data and/or conduct critical business functions in the event of a disaster. SIMILAR TERMS: Alternate Processing Facility, Alternate Office Facility, and Alternate Communication Facility.
A site held in readiness for use to maintain the business continuity of an organisation's Mission Critical Activities. The term applies equally to office or technology requirements.
