occurs in a game where a player bets all his or her chips into the pot at once, in doing so she or he declares him/-herself 'all in'. A starting hand containing two aces (AA) is known as American Airlines . It is also called Pocket Rockets or Rockets.
To put your last remaining chips into the pot. Players often do this because they either have a very strong hand and believe that they will win this pot, or are bluffing to drive out others around the table.
When you have no more money to bet with, while in the middle of a hand, you go "All In" by betting the remaining chips you have (Even if it doesn't "Call" the previous bet in full). After you go All-In, the other players who bet will create a side-pot, in which you have no stake.
A player is All In when they have bet their entire stack of remaining chips- that is to say if they lost the hand, they would have no chips remaining. A player may go All In by raising his total amount of chips, or he may be put All In if an opponent makes a raise equal to or greater than the amount of chips he has remaining.
when a player places all his or her remaining chips into the pot. Players going all in do not call additional bets, and they cannot compete for additional bets made by other players, which go into a side pot.
To run out of chips while betting or calling. In table stakes poker games, a player may not go into his pocket for more money during a hand. If he runs out, a side pot is created in which he has no interest. However, he can still win the pot for which he had the chips. Example: "Poor Bob - he made quads against the big full house, but he was all-in on the second bet."
A player who runs out of chips during the course of a hand is said to be "all-in." He is entitled only to that portion of the pot which existed at the time he went all-in (see also Main Pot and Side Pots).
this is when the player does not have enough table stakes to " call" or " raise". In this case the player places the reminder of his/her wager in the pot. He/she is then eligible to win only that pot and is not qualified to win any later pots formed in that round of play.
