Aliases enable you to have a number of different addresses on your own domain, such as [email protected]. All e-mails sent to these addresses are automatically redirected to your regular e-mail (POP) account (or to whatever e-mail account you want).
Aliases are forwarding email addressees. Email sent to an aliases is automatically forwarded to another email address.
Email aliases direct mail from one email address to another email address. The second email address is issued by your Internet Provider and is the email address where all your emails are gathered. For example, a web site could have [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] all forwarded to [email protected]. John sets his Outlook account to receive mail at [email protected] and will received mail addressed to [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected].
