An anchor on the opponents 4pt or 5pt ( Golden Point).
A made point higher in your opponent's board than the 24-point. In general, advanced anchors are good because (a) they give you more opportunity to hit his checkers if he brings them into his outfield and (b) they give you a better opportunity to escape your own checkers.
A high point anchor in your opponent's board. Advanced anchors are good, because they give you a better opportunity to escape, as well as, to hit the opponent's checkers.
A secure point made in the opponent's home board – usually on the 5th or 4th point. This secure point can be used in many ways and that is why it is considered to be very good strategy. From a secure point you can hit the opponent checkers when he brings them home or close to that. You can also hit checkers inside his home board and you can use a double dice result to run away easily.
