Definitions for "Accelerated Aging"
A test that simulates long time environmental conditions in a relatively short time.
Test procedures for subjecting PS label stock to special environmental conditions in order to predict the course of natural aging but in a far shorter period of time.
A test in which voltage, temperature, or other test parameters are increased above normal operating values to obtain observable deterioration in a relatively short time. The plotted results give service life within the context of the test.
The operation of a sample population of the lasers for an extended period of time under harsher conditions then those specified. These conditions are believed to accelerate degradation processes. Care must be taken not to introduce degradation processes that would not be relevant under operation within specified conditions
