One who comes from a foreign land; a foreigner.

One who is unknown or unacquainted; as, the gentleman is a stranger to me; hence, one not admitted to communication, fellowship, or acquaintance.

Someone you would not allow to control your checking account. Used in this context, "stranger" does not necessarily exclude acquaintances. It is used in this book essentially to emphasize a level of trust both in someone's integrity and in his or her capacity to represent the owner objectively and competently in the matters required for delivery of a successful project.

One not belonging to the family or household; a guest; a visitor.

Somebody ununderstood. That might be caused by this person belonging to another paradigm. That again might result in qualifications like 'terrorist'. In Jewish ancient Hebrew society followers of Jesus were called 'the strangers', and silenced, painfully killed or driven away (see paradigm and terrorism).
