An elongated block of high topographic relief that is bounded on two sides by steep normal faults. Produced in an area of crustal extension.
A block of the earth's crust that has been raised between two faults. The opposite of a graben. See illustration in fault.
An elongate, elevated block of crust forming a ridge or plateau, typically bounded by parallel, outward-dipping normal faults.
